An article of mine was featured with a two-page spread in the 2020 edition of Boise State’s Explore magazine. Explore comes out as a physical magazine once a year and features stories about novel and interesting research being done by people at Boise State. More info about it is here, and you can view my pages from the PDF of the magazine below. Big thanks to everyone who made this possible – seeing my work published like this was awesome.
The article is based on interviews with multiple researchers involved in the project, and is about a collaboration between computer science and environmental researchers to improve the fidelity and speed at which the environmental researchers can analyze LIDAR data using supercomputing resources. It also discusses the interest NASA was taking in the project.
